Home Visits

All requests for home visits should be made before 10:00am, whenever possible.

The duty GP will usually telephone before arranging to visit a patient at home. The GP will discuss the main problems briefly and together with the patient or their carer will decide how best to provide the most appropriate care. This may involve a visit from one of our Community nurses.

If at all possible we would prefer to see you at the practice, as here we have better facilities for examination and treatment. It also allows for a more efficient use of GP time. If we ask you to come to the practice we will ensure you are seen promptly.
