Repeat Prescriptions
How to order repeat prescriptions:
We are unable to issue repeat prescriptions to new patients before they have been reviewed by one of our Doctors. If you are on repeat medication please speak to reception at the earliest opportunity and before your medications runs out.
You can order a repeat prescription in the following ways:
- Patient Services – ask at reception for registration forms for this online service.
- Pharmacy – hand in your repeat prescription slip to either Sutherlands or Boots.
- Reception – tick your repeat prescription slip or write what you need on a piece of paper and hand in at our reception desk.
Please note
-
We do not accept prescription requests by phone unless it is for a housebound or Shapinsay patient.
-
If the item is not on repeat you will need to discuss the medication with a doctor. Please call in the morning and your request will be sent to the GP.
-
Please allow seven days from requesting your repeat prescription to collecting it from the chemist. This allows the Doctor time to have your prescription ready within 48 hours and the Chemist time to get your medication ready.
